Shaun began his foray into the world of digital through the SEO copywriting lens, penning articles for companies in the mechanical engineering sector to improve their presence in Google.  

About Today was born from those early days, and it has evolved from just ‘writing copy’ to creating solutions for organisations centred around their brand and technology requirements with the specific objective of making the business more valuable. 

“Working within the confines of the digital landscape is no different from its physical counterpart. There’s a desired impact or outcome and a process to follow that leads toward that solution. The fact that solution is digital does not change its impact, in fact it amplifies it since those impacts and solutions are not bound by the physical, but are global and can reach a far greater volume of people” 

Mike joined the business after holding global C level roles in both strategy and media sales at companies such George Patterson, Mojo, Clemenger, Y&R and Network Ten. He heads the strategy practice at About Today, which has as its primary function to create brands that get chosen. 

“With over 300M companies in the world, the role of a brand to get chosen is even more important. Both Millenials and Gen Z in buying committees are using social media to make decisions about which companies to do business with, marking a substantial change in buyer behaviour.  

20+ years as an aesthetic enthusiast, Glenn has traversed Melbournes creative scene, honing his craft and driving his thinking. From the corridors of the country's largest agencies to the halls of academia, his journey has been one of continued growth. For Glenn, design isn't just a vocation, it's a way of life. 

“Glenn is a firm believer in the transformative power of a brand. To him, a brand is more than a logo or a tagline; it's a visceral experience that forges connections, cultivates loyalty, and kindles the human spirit. Glenn leads the design team to ensure that aesthetics intertwine with strategy, and brands evolve into legends. 

James is one of the pioneer members or About Today. He is the one in charge of technical stuff may it be internal or client requirement. James joining, gives About Today a much wider service to offer specially on the web and systems development.

“Having experience in fields like Design, Web Development, Systems Programming, App Development, SEO, Server Maintenance, Project Management and other technical related stuff makes him the perfect Technical Lead and strategist to all our web and systems development projects. 

Teags commenced her media career as a freelancer, collaborating with notable entities like Midsumma Festival and Channel 9, and later transitioned into a startup as a graphic designer, handling major clientele including Sensis, Yellow Pages New Zealand, and Telstra. During this tenure, her affinity for project management emerged, leading her to assume a dual role encompassing design and project management. Progressing to global agency R/GA, Teags further cemented her trajectory by moving into a dedicated production role. Within this capacity, she primarily engaged with the Toyota Motor Corporation Australia account, notably concentrating on the myToyota loyalty programs, and played a pivotal role in the 2020 launch and management of the GAZOO Racing Club in collaboration with R/GA and Toyota's team. 

“With a decade of industry experience, Teags has a deep understanding of loyalty programs and how these can be leveraged to promote advocacy for a business, as well as insights into scaling small and large businesses effectively. In addition, she has a keen interest in empathetic leadership and ensuring gender equality and inclusiveness in the workplace and is always interested to connect with and learn from women in leadership positions.  

Lauren Patterson is a highly skilled and experienced senior account manager at About Today, a leading digital marketing agency. With an impressive track record spanning over 7 years in the industry, Lauren has honed her expertise in all aspects of digital marketing strategy and execution.  

“Her extensive knowledge encompasses areas such as social media marketing, content creation, search engine optimization, and data analytics. As a proactive and results-driven professional, Lauren excels at collaborating with clients to understand their unique business goals and developing tailored strategies to drive growth and maximize their online presence. With her strategic mindset and meticulous attention to detail, Lauren consistently delivers exceptional results and helps businesses thrive in the ever-evolving digital landscape. 

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design at Monash University, Georgia joined About Today. Her expertise lies in branding and identity as well as web design, where she has honed her skills by working on various client projects. 

“Colour can increase brand recognition by up to 80%.” The importance of colour psychology in branding lies in its ability to subconsciously impact consumer perceptions, evoke emotions, and shape brand associations, ultimately influencing purchasing decisions and fostering strong connections between brands and their target audience. 

Kate has amassed nearly a decade of experience in the Design Industry. She specializes in Art Direction, UI/UX, and Brand Managing. Throughout her career, she has undertaken a diverse array of projects, primarily focusing on websites, branding, and motion graphics. 

“The goal of UI/UX is to unravel the intricate dynamics of each business, enabling designers to construct highly effective websites and apps. We meticulously craft these using solid data acquired through comprehensive research and a meticulous design process. This approach ensures that every website we create is not only visually captivating but also strategically aligned with the unique needs and objectives of each venture. 

Miko joined the team with extensive experience designing websites for numerous SMEs across various industries in Singapore, Miko has also successfully delivered a wide range of projects for GoDaddy, from simple to complex website designs, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Now, he specializes in UI/UX as a designer at About Today, focusing on delivering exceptional user experiences. 

“Both colour and typography play vital roles in design as they convey emotions, create visual hierarchy, enhance readability, and establish brand identity. These two have the power to evoke specific moods, communicate messages, and engage the audience, making them essential elements in creating impressive and lasting designs. 

Irish joined the company after more than 7 years of experience as a web developer. She started off from Joomla, WordPress, Shopify and is now also exploring possibilities of mobile app development. She excels greatly in frontend web development, animations, user experience and mobile optimisation. Backend customisation is also her next big strength and can deliver special client requirements. Packed with her web development skills, her experience as a project coordinator in Singapore plays huge advantage as she developed keen eye to details and knowing alternative tools and strategy, this ensures we deliver websites to utmost client satisfaction.

Blair embarked on his journey with About Today in 2016, embracing the dual roles of Tech Support/Debugger and Web Designer. Back in those days, before the advent of popular design tools like Figma and Adobe XD, Blair was responsible for creating site mockups and templates using Adobe Illustrator.

It was during this phase that he introduced the nascent Oxygen Builder to our team, recognizing its potential to revolutionise our approach to website creation. This cutting-edge tool empowered us to construct customised and meticulously tailored websites that catered precisely to our clients' preferences.

“While I consider myself a lifelong learner, I firmly believe that being a developer is not just about acquiring a vast skill set. It is about infusing every project with a genuine love for what I do. By putting my heart and soul into my work, I strive to exceed expectations and deliver results that truly resonate with our clients and their users.

Joseph is a full stack software engineer with more than 15 years of experience in developing software application, from the user interface to the back-end database, deployment on any server from shared hosting, dedicated and AWS platform on both unix and windows. His vast experience came from being part of a team who developed a procurement system for the company that bid projects from US Department of Defense and different IT Agencies. He can convert any project requirements into a working responsive web application. Now he handles the development and maintenance of the school management system he created for different VET Clusters in Victoria and other custom built web applications.

“I have both experience on creating advance custom web applications and developing a project using an opensource web application. One of the major advantage of custom web development is you are not sharing your codes with the public, you are the only one knows you variables, directories, project and database structures etc. etc. You can create a unique product that can’t be done by open source web applications. For the security you are also not sharing your application credentials validation logic with the public, it’s also easy for the developer to strengthen the system security logic.

Randy is one of the programmer/web developers of About Today since 2021. Worked on both the front-end and back-end system. With ample experience on his field and collaboration with the team, he developed websites that meet client specifications and end-users' needs. 

Rudolph is a web developer with more than 3 years of experience in producing responsive websites before joining the business. Today, he handles SEO and SEM for About Today along with providing technical support and continuous development of quality websites. 

“Being skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP as a WordPress developer empowers me to transform client visions into reality. Aside from that, incorporating WordPress's strong SEO capabilities into About Today websites is not only essential for driving organic traffic but also for maximizing the website's potential for long-term success. 

Paulo has been a developer for more than 6 years now. Producing web applications and websites. Today, he handles the development of WordPress websites, and other tasks that the team might need from him such as, but not limited to: Slim, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Drupal, React.js, Vue.js. 

“As AI has made it increasingly easy to create websites and applications. I think that our role as developers has shifted to how we can provide results to our client in a polished and optimized manner. And provide great support. It is no longer about how many programming languages you can master. 

Jaydi has been working for About Today since 2015. He is the one looking after the the client’s technical issues and request when it comes to networking, security, email and other general IT concern that are part of About Today scope of support.  

“Jaydi started his career in 2003 as an IT Support specialising in networking. He has held a few more roles during his career including Microsoft Server Administrator, Google Workspace Certified Administrator, Microsoft 365 Azure Administrator, IT Project Manager and work on a lot more IT technology platforms.  

Erlyn Rambuyong has been an experienced executive administrative assistant for 7 years, providing project progress monitoring. She has a proven ability to organize files and data efficiently, manage tickets, track, monitor, and prioritize tickets in a timely manner, and conduct comprehensive research. She also specializes in CRM management and social media marketing.

“She has a fair share of knowledge about using different software and systems to manage projects and enhance productivity. She has the capacity to create and maintain databases as well as organize and analyze data quickly and accurately.

Overall, her goal is to provide seamless administrative support to help the team achieve its goals and objectives.
